As a nature photographer I want to be outdoors as much as I possibly can.  The winter season tends to minimize my ability to venture out in pursuit of new images though.  One of the activities that I wish I had started doing when I was younger is hiking.  Especially being in an area filled with lots of hiking trails and  even the beginning of the Appalachian Trail.  My passion for photography and hiking would be the perfect combination.  I often envy those professional photographers that hike and often get to areas that others cannot.  They typically some back with some spectacular images.
