Running on E

April 2nd, 2008 . by admin

If you’re like most other drivers these days, then there’s a good chance that your running on empty when you get behind the wheel.  Everyone is trying to stretch their gas tanks as far as they can go, but really, just how far is that?  With gas prices soaring higher and higher, it’s hard to even fathom the day when the prices will come down again.  In the meantime, people are scrambling around trying to do the best they can to get more bang for their buck.  For some, this means buying cheaper vehicles that get better gas mileage.  For others, it means staying in more often so that they don’t have to drive around.  A recent study in the news even revealed that the number of people buying gas has gone down tremendously since last year.  It seems that the solution to the gas crisis is to simply not buy gas.  There are, of course, other alternatives to gasoline such as electric or hydrogen or biodiesel, but a lot of these alternative fuels are still having the kinks ironed out of them, which lowers their reliability.  I wouldn’t say that the gas crisis is a totally horrible thing, however.  After all, people are beginning to see other alternatives and find creative ways to save energy and of course, gas.
