Backing Up: Do You Store Your Backup Offsite?

Here’s a good question to ask yourself: After you have backed up your computer onto a storage drive or disc, do you consistently store them at a different location than your computer? If you don’t, I have got some news for you: You’re not really backing up your information at all. A lot of people backup their computers on a disc, tape, or external drive, and then put them right next to their computer. But guess what happens when there’s a fire, break-in, or blood? That’s right, chances are, you will lose your backup drive along with your main computer. Solution? Either use a backup service such as SmarttNet’s Vancouver online backup service, or have the discipline to move your storage media offsite every night!
