Cool Personalized Gifts for Groomsmen

September 29th, 2008 . by admin

Every groom wants to give his groomsmen something unique and special for being part of their wedding.  Most grooms want to give their groomsmen something amusing to enjoy for years after the wedding.  There are a multitude of cool personalized gifts for groomsmen.  Personalized drink coasters like the Irish Coasters that can be found on Eyecandygift.com would include the groomsman’s name and the year the Irish Pub was established.  This is personal but also very entertaining especially for a groom who is Irish.  Other amusing personalized gifts for groomsmen might be a wild looking beer glass with the groomsman’s name etched on it or a beer koozie with a favorite inside joke catch phrase printed on it.  These gifts are meaningful because they are personalized but also will entertain for years.

Catchy Country Music Ringtones

September 29th, 2008 . by admin

As much as we may not have wanted to admit it. The country music scene has impacted the lives of Baby Boomer’s on down to the youngest music lovers out there today. Back in the sixties and seventies we never thought we would ever be listening to country music at all. Not even once in a while. The closest we came to country music was possibly the background music playing while visiting the exhibits at a state fair. And that was either ignored or unwillingly endured.
How times do change. Not only do I love country music and listen to it all day long. I even use country music ringtones. I just love those catchy little melodies

The Lucky Ones

September 24th, 2008 . by admin

One of the things I really love about going to the movies and especially when I get there early is that I get an opportunity to watch the movie trailers  as this gives me a nice idea as to the movies that are coming up so I can plan ahead for them. Just like this weekend, I watched movie and because of that I have an update about movies to be shown next week–like The Lucky Ones . As well as in the movie theaters, of course we are seeing movie reviews and movie trailers become more accessible and available with the skyrocketing use of the internet that we have seen over the recent years. We all love movies and the more we can know about what is coming up ahead the better for us all.

College Blues

September 23rd, 2008 . by admin

No one ever told me about the origin of the blues. For me they started in college when we would drive across the river to a place called Pete’s Boat House and listen to the local get together for a jam session. Most of them had never had a blues guitar lesson in their lives but oh, how they could play. Sunday afternoons became almost a ritual as more and more of us would make the drive to listen to the music. I no longer live in that area but am searching for someone that can begin to teach me to play the blues.

Those who live in, or are traveling to, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, will want to take the time to visit one of the most interesting and unique attractions in the area. From the gardens to the museum, everyone in the family will have a good time exploring all that the grounds have to offer.

Why You Don’t Need Dance Advice

September 20th, 2008 . by admin

If you wanted to become a better dancer it would make sense to get some solid dance advice from someone who knows their stuff right? Or is it?

Dance is one of those skills that you can’t just talk about but have to perform. In effect you do your talking on the dance floor.

Which is why dancing advice is useless, it’s only the application of the advice that will improve your dancing standard. The problem is that most people don’t like to act when they see a good piece of advice.

They like to think, “Ah that’s a good piece of advice”, and then forget about it the next day. Remember to take ACTION when that potentially life changing advice flashes before your eyes.

Send me to street dance school please

September 19th, 2008 . by admin

Kids have always been picky. They want the Oreos not the cookies, the frosted cereals not the plain ones. Now with the emergence of street dance, they’re becoming picky about dance too.

Ballet is no longer good enough. In fact if most of us are being honest, unless we were the best ones who became ballerinas, ballet was rather boring. There was nothing exciting about stretching or doing all those exercises at the barre. I can kind of understand the kids on this one.

I’m not knocking ballet, I think it’s beautifully done by the professionals. But I’m happy to give my kids what they want and let them go to a street dance school instead where they can learn some nice moves to the songs they listen to on their Ipods.

I Once Saw Some Street Dance

September 18th, 2008 . by admin

I once saw a group of kids doing some street dance. They were in a circle like in those films and they were going in one at a time. Most of them were amazing dancers, doing all sorts of things from breakdance to body popping to different versions of the robot.

Then there was this one kid on the side who for some reason didn’t stand out as a dancer. Perhaps it was because he was dressed differently or just that he didn’t talk with the same lingo.

So this kid goes in and does one arm wave which lasts about 5 seconds. All around everyone goes crazy and he walks out. And that’s it.

See you don’t need to dance the whole night or even go in the circle for 1 minute if you can do that. Just walk in and out, and you’re done.

Online Ebooks

September 12th, 2008 . by admin

Quite recently novels in local malls have taken a bit of a tumble with regard to sales. And the #1 reason for this could be attributed to the rise of online novels. Plenty of people are downloading ebooks online, they are free/cheap, they are convenient and they aren’t cumbersome. With the cost of PDF readers falling, and more and more pocket/palm devices now include a PDF reader, people are not buying as many paperback physical books. Why would you carry a clunky book around when you could get hundreds of them on your PDA, laptop, or Pocket PDF reader.Check out online ebook and novels.

Finding the Right Theme is Hard.

September 1st, 2008 . by admin

My niece told me a couple months ago that she wanted a new theme for her room for her birthday gift. I asked her mom if it was ok and she agreed so I went to work trying to find the perfect bedroom theme for her. Well I had no idea that there was so many designs to choose from. The kids wall art themes are so vast that I haven’t a clue which one to choose. I wanted the theme to be a surprise for Brook but I think I will have to let her pick because I don’t want to choose the wrong one.
