win, place and show

October 22nd, 2008 . by admin

Nearly everyone in the world has heard of the annual yacht races in Alice Springs. But how many people have heard from the residents of Alice Springs? With the introduction of satellite broadband providers such as Harbour Satellite and the Australian government new satellite broadband providers everyone in Australia will be able to communicate not only with each other, but with the world. Students who once got their education on the air via short wave radio will be able to connect to classes now taught world wide. No longer will Australians need to await the latest horse race results; they can watch them live on the internet.

Can I Do Web Hosting?

October 22nd, 2008 . by admin

Recently I have had to do a lot of work to research companies and how they particularly run their business on line. Most of the time the companies that use the Internet generally have more than one or two websites that they manage so they use some other company to help them in this. What I did not realize is that most of the web hosting sites are dedicated for web hosting mlm. While I am sure that it is all legitimate hosting, I am wondering if this is a line of business where I could get involved too and host pages with or without mlm use.

Suunto watches there were 787 exhibitors from 40 countries and an expanded exhibition area of 75,000 sqm. “It was a better trade fair once again, and the growth was very evident. But this didn’t entail a sacrifice in quality. We were able to maintain the same high standards,”

How long does it take to get a computer forensics degree?

October 18th, 2008 . by admin

I am interested in switching careers, and I was thinking that computer forensics would be something related to what I am currently doing, but more interesting for me.  I would probably have to go back to school to get a computer forensics degree though, so I am wondering how long this usually takes to do.  Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about my options for this type of degree? Would I need a bachelors degree or would an associates degree be enough if I already have a computer science degree? I would like to change careers as soon as possible.

Fixing A Corrupted Registry In XP

October 17th, 2008 . by admin

The Windows registry has always been known as a difficult thing to deal with.  Even experienced computer techs tend to shy away from doing work on the registry because of the potential for severe consequences.  The registry is made up of files and folders that programs and Windows make in order to run consistently.  The registry controls things like individual user settings and permissions, as well as more mundane things like wallpaper and mouse click speed.

If you need to clean the registry then I advise you to read some registry cleaner reviews for more information on which programs are considered the best.  You don’t want to use inferior software when dealing with the Windows registry.

Easy To Understand XBox360 Repair Guides

October 15th, 2008 . by admin

When it comes to technological hardware, I am certainly not a genius. So, naturally, when an xbox360 breaks down, I am the last guy who will be enthusiastic about messing with internal components.

Naturally then, when trying to find a guide on how to fix xbox360 3 red rings, I am a supporter of simple solutions. I don’t want to be engaging in anything that’s overly-dangerous to the condition of my system, so I’m after straightforward, easy to understand directions.

If you experience similar techno-angst, I suggest looking for repair guides that are touted as being easy to use and understand - you’ll be glad you chose them.

Smile for the new DS

October 14th, 2008 . by admin

Nintendo has unveiled a new DS handheld console featuring twin digital cameras, MP3 music playback, bigger screens and a built-in web browser.

The screens on the Nintendo DSi are 3.25-inches - 17 per cent bigger than the current DS Lite - and the new unit is also slightly thinner than its predecessor, reported by Nintendo DS Blog

Nintendo has added a SD memory card slot so users can store photos (taken at 640 x 480 resolution) and download games, with a new DSiWare service to offer both free game demos and games to purchase like the Wii console’s online Wii Shop.

The DSi features software for listening to digital music and manipulating your photos, and your images can be transferred to Wii for viewing on television.

A second digital camera can be found on the inside hinge of the unit, which presumably will be utilised for gaming functions.

The new model’s audio capabilities have also been improved, but the cartridge slot for playing Game Boy Advance titles has been removed to make the machine more compact.

The Nintendo DS has been an extraordinarily successful product for the Japanese giant, selling over 80 million units around the world, including 1.4 million in Australia.

Who in the World Uses Joomla?

October 12th, 2008 . by admin

Several notable names can be associated with Joomla, like the united nations, Quizilla (the networking site from MTV) and even L.A. Weekly. DO you lie eating out and looking for coupons or if your favorite restaurant is near you when you travel, IHOP even uses Joomla to keep their customers connected. I even read in Joomla Blogs that Harvard University, a school I always dreamed of going to, uses Joomla to run their website. My brother’s bank, Citibank uses Joomla as a intranet between their branches. Everyone including my favorite magazine Outdoor Photographer uses it to keep people informed and connected.

Why Most Don’t Survive the Cut

You’re dressed in a fancy suit, sent your curriculum vitae via the internet, and arrived to the interview thirty minutes early. What are you doing so wrong that you never seem to land a job with your current software testing resume? Well to begin with, there are many factors involved with corporate jobs that you may never guess what went wrong. Some companies value married employees, since they can take part in the company’s family events. Other companies look for employees that are ready 24/7. If you want to land a job, you should take the time to investigate the entity you’re dealing with. Talk with the employees, observe the workspace, you’re better off knowing such details in order to be prepared.

What is solar power?

September 25th, 2008 . by admin

Solar power is an eco friendly method of producing energy. The power of the sun is harnessed by the use of solar panels. Solar panel technology has been used in personal devices such as the Solar laptop charger. Solar power is used in a commercial arena to generate electricity but this is still a minor contributor to the total energy production worldwide. It is a good alternative as it does not produce CO2 as a by product. Many homes are now installing solar panels in their roofs to help reduce their household electricity bills. Initially it was not worth the expense, but now if you were to install solar panels on your roof, it would dramatically reduce your annual energy bills.
