Dyslexia Testing
October 31st, 2009 . by adminWe did not actually begin to understand Dyslexia till about 25 years ago. And up until 10-15 years ago school youngsters were not regularly screened for the condition… Or were not screened in the slightest. And therefore the ten percent of the people who are dyslexic and finished elementary college before screening began have never been tested or diagnosed. Most learned to hide their state and became’closet dyslexics’ without even knowing what dyslexia actually was. Today there are only a few or no programs to identify and help adult dyslexics. Ironically, many go thru dyslexia testing only after their school-age youngsters are diagnosed with the condition.
