Modular Homes Look Just Like Traditional Homes
December 1st, 2008 . by adminNot only is modular housing built with a wood frame and permanent foundation just like a stick built home, but the two types of structures look just alike from the outside, too. The untrained eye cannot tell the difference between a Modular Home and a stick built home, if anyone can tell the difference by looking at all. The only key difference between a modular and a stick built home, which are both built on-site, is that the stick built home is built piece by piece, whereas the modular is pieced section by section. This is why a modular is often sturdier than a stick built home, because the modular sections arrive pre-built from the factory, then are reinforced on-site with 30% more lumber.
