Slightly different results than expected
May 29th, 2008 . by adminI was a little disappointed with the lab resuslts I got after returnign from the magic shop. Results varied from group to group depending on when they performed their culture experiments. Groups performing their experiments later than an earlier group allowed their cell cultures to proliferate longer. Thus, their cultures would contain more cells that had divided more often, giving slightly varied results. Also, some groups may have caught their culture before it had a chance to enter out of G phase and into S phase. This would give a largely different reading from a group that had performed their experiments after the cells had divided. However, the volume of the cells from each group seemed to be in pretty close conjunction with one another. This consistency lends credibility to the volumes obtained.
