Not too long ago, I had the privilege of helping some friends out who had been left without a home after Hurricane Katrina.  A group from my church and I decided to head down there and help them clear the wreckage off their land, and begin building their new home.  Their land was still great, since their house was actually knocked down by wind, and not from flooding.  We also started some Hurricane Discussion forums to give some practical advice to anyone else that was affected by the latest wave of storms.  I was actually just glad that we were able to help.
