How to Apply for Physical Therapy Assistant Programs

In order to enter in to this career path, a person must apply for and be accepted in to accredited physical therapy assistant programs. According to the data by the American Physical Therapy Association, there are over 200 physical therapy assistant programs across the United States located in community colleges, colleges and universities and technical colleges. Once you have located a school that has an accredited program, you will need to apply per that school’s instructions. Upon acceptance, the coursework typically takes about 2 years to complete and upon completion you will need to be certified by the state where you wish to practice.
