Television And Newspapers In Cyprus
August 22nd, 2008 . by adminLocally printed English language publications are rare in Cyprus. Generally, newspapers are either in Greek or in Turkish, depending which alf of the island one happens to be in.
One of the few publications in English in the South is the ‘Cyprus Weekly’, which is useful in listing ‘what’s on’. Some minor publications in English are available to the expat community, but are not uniformly available on the island.
More radio and television stations are available in the South than in the North. However, some larger Cyprus Hotelsmay well have satellite receivers, which increases the number of stations quite considerably.
